What We Do

Discovering the World Joey Scouts explore their surroundings, discovering the wonders of nature. From they weekly meetings to participating in community projects, their curiosity knows no bounds.

Building Friendships

Friendship is at the heart of Joey Scouts. Through shared experiences, teamwork, and cooperation, lifelong bonds are formed. Our Joey Scouts learn empathy, kindness, and the joy of connecting with others.

Physical Activity and Imagination

Joey Scouts stay active, hiking, playing games, and exploring. Their broad imagination fuels creativity. From building forts to imagining far-off lands, they embrace the magic of childhood.

The Best Parts

  • Kangaree Camp: Every two years, Joey Scouts attend Kangaree—a massive 2-night camp. Activities, entertainment, and camaraderie await, connecting them with fellow Scouts from across the state.
  • Achievements and Badges: Joey Scouts earn badges to recognize their accomplishments. The highest award, the Joey Scout Challenge Award, awaits those who aim high.

Interactive Adventures

Games, activities, and adventures fill our Joey Scout meetings. Whether it’s solving puzzles, creating art, or embarking on mini-expeditions, every moment is an opportunity for growth and fun.

If you’re aged 5–8 and keen to try Joey Scouts, you’ll discover the world around you, build friendships, stay active, and learn through imagination and play. It’s the first step in the Scouting journey. We’re always welcoming new members see our meeting details below. Please note we meet during school terms only.
